Aluminum die casting for OEM parts
Ningbo Yinzhou Jinpeng Vehicle Parts Co., Ltd., founded in 2003, provides aluminum casting and machining services. For an OEM die casting project, the first step is a drawing review covering the part, tooling, machining and inspection requirements.
Is die casting suitable for your part?
Housings, brackets and vehicle components are examples of parts to discuss during the review. The process choice depends on the geometry and production plan, rather than the part name alone.
- Identify walls, ribs, holes and surfaces that matter to assembly.
- Provide the specified alloy and any material documentation requirements.
- Separate prototype quantities, order quantities and expected annual demand.
- Identify surfaces or holes that require CNC machining after casting.
What to send for a quotation
A useful RFQ combines the drawing with the purchasing requirements. If an item is undecided, mark it as open for review.
- 2D drawing with revision, dimensions, tolerances and inspection notes; 3D model if available.
- Alloy, surface finish and any coating or heat treatment requirements.
- Trial quantity, batch quantity and estimated annual volume.
- Existing tooling status, requested delivery date, packaging and delivery destination.
From rough casting to machined part
Jinpeng's existing service scope includes rough castings, deburring, CNC machining and coordination of finishing resources. The actual scope and acceptance criteria are confirmed for each project.
- Drawing and process review before tooling and production decisions.
- Agreement on critical dimensions, machining allowances and sample approval.
- First-piece checks, in-process checks and outgoing inspection requirements.
- Packaging and delivery requirements included in the project discussion.
Tooling, minimum quantities and lead time
There is no universal quotation, minimum order or lead time published for every part. Tooling condition, geometry, material, quantity and inspection requirements need to be reviewed first.
- Tell us whether you need rough castings or finished components.
- Include any required tolerances and certifications in your RFQ for confirmation.
- Send your required standards so the team can confirm whether the project is a fit.
